Yes, all our products are natural and vegan.

How organic are your ingredients?

We only ever use a combination of natural and organic ingredients. We source our ingredients from certified suppliers where we know the supply chain is sound and there is no chance of contamination with GM or animal processes or ingredients. When we use organic it will be very clearly stated, we are currently in the process if getting our products certified by the Soil Association which is the UK most recognised organic certifier.

Please note that our bath salts are not organic because the salts are harvested naturally.

Where are Verdant Alchemy products made?

Each product is handmade in small batches and packaged in South London.

Are the products tested on animals?

Never. Only friends and family (lucky them).

What is the shelf life of the products?

Shelf life varies for each product and is specified on our product pages. We don't use any preservatives in our products and currently, bath salts and bath oils have a shelf life of 12 months, however, use within 6 months of opening.

Will you be bringing more products out?

Yes, we are really excited about our future roadmap. Watch this space.

What packaging do you use?

We try to be as sustainable with our packaging as possible using paper boxes and fillers when we pack your goods. All of our product packagings are designed to be re-used.

Our 250g jars are made out of glass and the lids are PP plastic and should be widely accepted for kerbside recycling. However, we encourage you to re-use the jars rather than recycle it. Ideas include:

  • Storing kitchen goods, like salt and spices.
  • Planting cactuses, succulents and small plants.
  • Making jam.

Our 100g pouches are made out of mixed materials. Please check local recycling as different countries and councils have different processes and acceptability. If you are unsure please send it back to us to be re-used or recycled [ Verdant Alchemy, 82 Brockley Rise, SE23 1LN, UK].  Again, we encourage re-usability of the pouches rather than recycling. Ideas include:

  • Putting your jarred bath salts in the pouch for travelling. Hand luggage friendly. Because some of the best bathtubs are the ones you experience when you travel.
  • Use the pouch and fill it with your favourite bath scrubs for your holiday.
  • Clean and dry thoroughly so store craft products and miscellaneous products.
  • Storing coffee or tea bags for trips away.
