Bathing can be slightly dehydrating, so drinking plenty of water before, during and after the bath helps lower blood pressure and prevent any side effects such as dizziness which you may experience if this is your first mineral and clay bath.
Set the Scene
Now, it’s time to really switch off and relax. Soak for around 20-30 minutes. Use this time in the bath to soak away your day or any negative energy you have collected. I enjoy deep meditative breathing in the tub, not only am I soaking up the beautiful natural scents but its chance to control your breathing to calm the nerves and fully relax. Breathe in slowly for five seconds, hold your breath for five seconds, then very slowly breathe out again. Focus on your breathing, be conscious of breathing through your diaphragm and chest. Carry on the meditative breathing for a few minutes and then relax and be still in the bath.
We prefer more, rather than fewer scoops in our bath. Add more bath salts if you want a deeper, more therapeutic experience. Soak for 20- 30 minute.
Bathing aftercare is super important. Due to the detoxification qualities of the mineral baths, it's important to drink water and moisturise skin after. If you have time, try dry brushing your skin as well to improve circulation. Wrap yourself in a warm towel and rest in your safe space. I enjoy making myself a herbal tea for this period, a tea blend that aligns with my intentions and bath I just experienced; for example, a chamomile tea after having a Drift Off bath really helps me fall asleep.
